Growing Hyacinths

Just before half term Year 1 were given a hyacinth bulb to take home and grow. They wrote a set of instructions in school to follow to successfully grow a hyacinth!

We have had fun weighing toys using non-standard units. We have ordered them from the lightest to the heaviest.

2D Shape Hunt!

1B set off today as 2D shape explorers! We were hunting high and low for familiar 2D shapes in and around the Pre-Prep Block. It really did go to prove that ‘shapes are everywhere.’

Year 1 were visited by the Community Support officers on Wednesday afternoon. We learnt all about STRANGER DANGER  as well as the role of the police in the community to link in with our topic of ‘People Who Help Us.’
