Happening History

This week the boys took part in a History workshop. They were excited to try on Armour and medieval clothes as well as experience the life of a someone who worked in a castle kitchen.

Puppets!

Congratulations to Tom, Dylan and Christopher who won the Schools puppet competition! Here is a photograph of them holding their creative designs.

The final piece!

Here is a photograph of the boys work put together to create a wreath, it looks stunning!

Being creative

The boys enjoyed taking part in an Art workshop this week. They used plastic bottles that had been collected by Pre Prep to create minibeasts and flowers. All their creations were fixed together to create a beautiful wreath.

Paul Klee

The boys have enjoyed learning about castles so far this term. In Art we studied the Artist Paul Klee and discussed some of his work. The boys then created their own castle picture inspired by Paul Klee.

The Royal Wedding

This week 1G joined 1TD to discuss The Royal Wedding. The boys loved taking part in a role play to act out what will happen on the big day. In English the boys wrote a letter to the royal couple sending them their congratulations and asking them questions about their wedding. We have posted their letters to Buckingham Palace and we are looking forward to their reply.

Maths workshop

Yesterday the boys went in two groups with the Year 2 boys to the Tetra and Octas Maths workshop. The boys created 2D and 3D shapes. As a group they made it into a tall tower and then into a tunnel which they enjoyed running through trying not to touch any of the sticks.
