This week in 1R…

This week, we were very lucky to have Mr Walker talk to us about when he lived in Kenya.

We also had a spooktacular day in our fantastic outfits!

Ndebele Art!

This week we were looking Ndebele style African art. Ndebele house painting is a style of African art practised by the Southern Ndebele people of South Africa. The boys drew out different geometric shapes and coloured them in. They then used a black fine pen to draw around the shapes to make them stand out!

Smelly Science!

This week in science we were focusing on one of our 5 senses – smell. We had lots of fun smelling different things and trying to guess what they were. The boys have very good noses!

Making Music with Nature!

This week we explored the woodland area to find different materials that we could make music with. The boys enjoyed scraping, beating and shaking different objects from nature!
