HAPPENING HISTORY!

On Tuesday this week Year 1 were lucky enough to have a workshop all about knights and castles to link in with this term’s topic!

The boys had a wonderful time learning about what it was like to be a knight and castle life.

We magically turned cream into butter!

There was a great selection of dressing up clothes to transform the boys from school boys into a lord, knight or squire!

The boys became medieval doctors grinding and mixing herbs to make medicine. Their favourite part was learning about how the doctors used to use urine samples to diagnose illness. They even smelt and drank it!!

A full suit of armour was laid out for the boys to touch and try on. It really gave them an understanding of how heavy the armour was and made us wonder how they actually fought in it.
