Victorian Lesson

In history the boys have been learning about the past, present and future. They visited Mr Fairclough’s classroom where they experienced a Victorian style lesson.

He checked the boys hands were clean before entering the classroom.

The boys learned that if they got something wrong during the Victorian times they had to wear a Dunce hat and stand in the corner of the room.

The boys wrote their name in the Victorian script.

The boys got to try wearing the back straighter, which use to be used if a child was not sitting correctly.

Last week we were lucky enough to welcome visiting children’s author and illustrator Rob Biddulph. He inspired the boys about his journey to becoming a children’s author. The boys also drew their own imaginary friends whilst Rob shared his latest book ‘Kevin’.
