Cuffley Camp
Last Friday’s trip to Cuffley camp was enjoyed by both boys and staff alike! The weather was kind and a great day was had by all.
The boys experienced painting with soil, the wonderful art of pond dipping and an obstacle course!
It was lovely being outdoors and a picnic lunch always taste better out doors in the sun!
Enjoy some of the photo’s from the day.
Cuffley camp
We are really looking forward to our trip to Cuffley Camp tomorrow. A quick reminder for the boys to come in old clothes that can get muddy! Old trainers or wellies if very wet tomorrow and a raincoat! Please bring a packed lunch with no chocolate, sweets, or nuts, and no glass bottles.
Also just a reminder that we have our project afternoon next Tuesday and parents are welcome to come in and have a look from 2.45pm.
Thank you
DINOSAURS COME TO 1B!
Millie set another challenge today for the boys!
She asked them to make a 3D dinosaur using just paper, glue and sellotape! The emphasis was on working as a team to achieve a joint model.
Here are some photos during the construction time
As if by magic here are the final models!
The boys did really well.
Well done boys
Them bones, them bones!
For Millie’s challenge today the boys worked in groups to act as paleontologists and piece together the bones of a T-Rex skeleton!
They did well but I think we have invented some ‘new, never discovered dinosaurs!’
Enjoy the photo’s
Rocket seeds from space!
1B were very lucky and went up to the science lab today to see how the ‘rocket seed’ experiment was going.
Lochinver were sent 200 seeds! Half of them had been sent back from the ISS! We don’t know which seeds are which!!!
Mrs Craig along with her space cadets have been following strict instructions to comply with the ‘mission!’
In September when all the data from all the schools has been gathered we will find out whether the seeds that had been in microgravity grew the same as those that had never left Earth!!!
