Zoo Lab visit

We were so lucky to be visited by Zoo Lab this morning. The boys learnt all about different wild animals and had the opportunity to handle some of them.

I learnt that cockroaches can run faster than Usain Bolt.

I learnt that a cockroach can run further than 100 miles.

Brando

I never knew that snakes lived in corn fields and ate mice.

Reuben

I loved looking at the animals and I learnt that spiders aren’t scary.

Ethan

I didn’t know that a tarantula would break into pieces if you dropped it.

Max

I thought that the tarantula was very hairy and big.

Lochy

I learnt that a cockroach can stay under water for forty-five minutes.

I didn’t know that a tarantula could shoot hairs that can make you itchy.

Gabriel

I found out that cockroaches were living during the dinosaur period and they are still alive now.

Oliver S

I didn’t know that cockroaches could survive walking through fire.

Zakariya

I thought that the snake was very scary.

Mihir

I learnt that a spider has eight eyes.

Rocco

I really liked holding the snake because it wasn’t slippery.

William

I enjoyed looking at the tarantula and I hoped that it would move in the tank but it didn’t.

Jesse

I loved holding the snails because they were slimy.

Dinosaur projects

Dinosaur landscape artwork

 

Step 1

Design a dinosaur landscape

 

 

Step 2

Use paper, card, tissue, paper plates, plastic cups and sticky tape to create your 3D landscape on a board

 

 

Step 3

Use modroc to cover your 3D landscape

  

 

 

Step 4

Put your landscape outside to dry in the sunshine

 

 

Step 5

Paint your landscape (next week)

 

 

 

Maths – Money

We are going to be learning about money in our maths lessons during the next two weeks.

Choose items to buy and then pay for them by dragging coins onto a hand. Try to buy and pay for one item at a time and then as a challenge you could select more then one item.
